PTFE Belt

PTFE Belt

We supply all kinds of PTFE-coated glass fabric conveyor belts and Kevlar belts and can produce these quickly and accurately at any size, with the joint most suitable for you, for example, with a welded or detachable joint.

PTFE-coated open mesh belt, which is used in shrink or drying tunnels. This conveyor belt can be supplied with detachable joint (see photographs below), the edges can be finished with a high flex or Kevlar strip.

The most common PTFE-coated belts have an inner layer of glass fabric, which is mechanically strong, has a good chemical resistance and can be used at low and high temperatures. Moreover, this material can be supplied in a large number of thicknesses and types.

Advantages

  • Excellent anti-adhesive
  • Good air flow (open mesh belt)
  • High tensile strength at limited volume
  • Light constructions possible in the oven build
  • Very low friction
  • Temperature resistance from -75 to +260°C
  • Non toxic
  • Suitable for food products
  • Mechanically strong and light in weight

All conveyor belts can be fitted with several kinds of edge reinforcement, such as a high flex- or a Kevlar edge reinforcement. Various types of guiding systems are also available, for example, the metal studs for heat-seal belts.

Moreover, the conveyor belts can be produced without ends, by using welded joints, or a detachable joint - see the photographs below.

The values in this table are indicative and not intended as specifications.

PTFE-coated glass fabric belts can be used for the most common applications. At high load, high speeds or when using with hot water or steam, it is better to use PTFE-coated aramide fabric belts. Of course, many other types are available, for example filled with 7% carbon, which allows the static electricity to be discharged gradually. Only the most commonly used types are mentioned above.
